Marco Gabbiadini has reminisced on Twitter after Crystal Palace managed to get a 2-1 win against Liverpool.
Gabbiadini was part of a Palace side who picked up a similar result back in the 1991/92 season, and he scored in that success.
Unfortunately for the striker, he was sold soon after that display, and he went on to move to Derby County at the end of that campaign.
Palace picked up their victory against Liverpool on Sunday in fine style, with their performance highlighting the quality that they possess in their squad.
Liverpool appeared to have improved under Jurgen Klopp, but Palace made them pay for a disjointed performance, with Alan Pardew’s side deserved winners.
The Eagles took the lead in the first-half through Yannick Bolasie, before Scott Dann netted a late winner.
The victory sent Palace into 10th place in the Premier League table, and they are now just one point behind Liverpool, who are in ninth spot.
