Could the Leeds United midfielder get the chance to show his new manager what he can do later this week?
Leeds United may not have a competitive match during the latest international break but thankfully their first-team squad will get a chance to play with a specially arranged friendly against Wycombe Wanderers.
The League Two side will welcome Leeds to Adams Park on Friday 13 November for a 7:30pm kick-off and it will be a chance for Leeds manager Steve Evans to see what some of his fringe players can do, as well as giving his first-team stars a run-out.
One player who could really benefit from this match is Italian midfielder Tommaso Bianchi, who is yet to play for Leeds’ first-team this season due to injury.
The 27-year-old has returned to training and is currently getting minutes for the club’s under-21s, but the upcoming match with Wycombe would allow Evans to see what Bianchi can do playing alongside the club’s more familiar faces.
Bianchi has only played 26 times for Leeds to date and the game later this week could yet come a little too soon. But even if it is just a second-half run-out, it could work wonders for a player who will be desperate to show his new manager he can make an impact at Elland Road in due course.
