The Liverpool legend questioned one of the goalkeeper's moments against Palace.
Former Liverpool defender and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher questioned Simon Mignolet's decision to pass the ball to Mamadou Sakho after he had gone down injured against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
Indeed, Carragher half-joked that the Belgian should have known better - and several Liverpool fans responded to the 37-year-old by criticising the goalkeeper.
The Reds were on the receiving end of a 2-1 defeat to Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace side after conceding two poorly-defended goals at Anfield.
Bet Sakho was delighted Mignolet gave him the ball just after he'd gone down!— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) November 8, 2015
Carragher was only being light-hearted, of course, but his comment does raise the question of Mignolet's awareness and decision making.
More generally, is the Belgian good enough for Liverpool as the Jurgen Klopp era kicks off?
The Reds boss appears to be a faithful, patient manager who will trust those in front of him before ever trying to replace them. And Mignolet's shot stopping ability is certainly right up there.
Overall, though, many will argue Liverpool could do with a better goalkeeper. But it would certainly help if the likes of Alberto Moreno and Emre Can didn't keep making errors in front of him...
