The Tottenham Hotspur pair certainly impressed a former manager of the club.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side impressed at the Emirates Stadium and for a while it looked like they would take all three points back to White Hart Lane. But Arsenal substitute Kieran Gibbs scored just three minutes after replacing Joel Campbell, cancelling out Harry Kane’s opener.
The Tottenham striker was one of the players who made Redknapp’s team of the weekend, along with teenage midfielder Dele Alli.
The 19-year-old has been in sensational form since arriving from MK Dons in the summer and his maturity is admirable for one so young.
While Alli has wasted little time settling in at the club, his Tottenham teammate Kane initially struggled to replicate his form from the previous campaign, but he has now turned a corner, scoring his fifth goal in three matches on Sunday.
At this rate Tottenham may well secure a top-four finish but Pochettino will not be taking anything for granted at this early stage of the campaign.
