The France international centre-back suffered an injury during the Reds’ Premier League game against Crystal Palace at Anfield on Sunday evening.
The 25-year-old landed awkwardly following a challenge with Yannick Bolasie during the first half of the encounter and left Anfield on crutches with his right knee in a brace.
Former Liverpool defender Traore has wished Sakho a speedy recovery, and has claimed that he has been the best player for the team since Jurgen Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers as the Reds boss in October.
The 2-1 defeat to Palace on Sunday was Liverpool’s first under Klopp.
The Merseyside outfit are 10th in the Premier League table at the moment with 17 points from 12 matches, as many as seven points behind fourth-place Manchester United.
The Reds will take on Manchester City away from home at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League after the two-week international break.
