Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters have praised the impact that Mike Williamson has made on their defence since joining from Newcastle United.
Wolves drew 0-0 with an in-form Burnley side at the weekend, and Williamson was imperious at the back throughout.
Despite being handed the task of marking Andre Gray, who has been hitting the back of the net with regularity of late, the Newcastle loanee coped with the challenge well and rarely looked threatened.
Williamson has brought experience and calm to Wolves’ defence, and he has helped them tighten up.
Although Wolves were beaten 1-0 by Bristol City in their last fixture, that is the only goal they have conceded in the three games that Williamson has played so far.
It has led to Wolves supporters heaping praise on the 32-year-old, and the towering centre-back will be hoping to continue to impress for the remainder of his time at Molineux.
Here is the best reaction from Wolves fans to Williamson’s performance against Burnley on social media site Twitter.
Williamson has been a good addition but the lack of quality midfield play is a joke. I'm not convinced with Byrne either, like others #wwfc— Steve Phipps (@stevephipps83) November 7, 2015
Good result against joint top of the league, Henry & Williamson pick of the bunch for me. Ojo was poor. #wwfc— David Moss (@DavidMoss1) November 7, 2015
#wwfc doing well against a good side in Burnley, Henry pick of the bunch for me so far. Williamson bringing leadership too.— David Moss (@DavidMoss1) November 7, 2015
Williamson and Golbourne both had decent games, neither keeper had a lot to do— Bradley Parker (@parker_bradley) November 7, 2015
