West Ham United drew 1-1 with Everton on Saturday.

West Ham United recorded their third draw of the season as they were held to a 1-1 stalemate against Everton at Upton Park on Saturday.

The Hammers, who went in to the game off the back of a 2-0 defeat away at Watford last weekend, were looking for a response, and they looked to be heading in the right direction when on-loan playmaker Manuel Lanzini trapped the ball on the edge of the box and guided a delightful lobbed shot over and around Tim Howard, in to the top corner.

It was a moment of magic which delighted the Hammers fans, but they were pegged back before half time as their nemesis Romelu Lukaku made it seven goals in the last seven games against the Irons, latching on to Gerard Deulofeu's through ball and rounding Adrian before tapping in to the empty net.

Both teams pushed for a winning goal, but it ended 1-1, leaving both sides to take a point from a closely-fought encounter at Upton Park.

West Ham were unsurprisingly disappointed to have only taken a point from the game having been in front, and their players took to Twitter after the game to pass on messages to their fans.

Goalkeeper Adrian noted that the point helped West Ham stay near the top of the Premier League table, whilst left back Aaron Cresswell celebrated his 50th Premier League appearance for the Hammers.

Winger Victor Moses stated that it was a difficult game, and goalscorer Lanzini [translation required below] said sorry to fans for failing to find the winner.
