Saido Berahino missed an easy chance for West Bromwich Albion against Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday.

Former Newcastle United star Steve Watson has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Alan Shearer’s comments about West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino.

Berahino missed an easy chance for West Brom against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

While analysing the way the 22-year-old striker failed to keep his header on target in the second when the Baggies were 1-0 down, Newcastle legend Shearer said on Match of the Day on BBC One: “It was a great ball in from Dawson but Berahino just doesn't want to head it. He thinks it's going to hurt him.

"You can see his head disappear into his neck. He just doesn't want to head it 'oh, it might hurt me’. You've got to score there.”

Former West Brom star Watson seems to agree with Shearer and has posted the following message on Twitter:

Berahino did not start Saturday’s match against United at Old Trafford and came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute. During his time on the pitch, the youngster took one shot and had a pass accuracy of 100%.

West Brom are 13th in the Premier League table at the moment with 14 points from 12 matches, six points above the relegation zone.
