Rodney Marsh reacts on Twitter to Aston Villa and Manchester City performances

Aston Villa 2

Aston Villa and Manchester City played out a goalless draw at Villa Park in the Premier League on Sunday.

Rodney Marsh has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the performances of Aston Villa and Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

Villa and City played out a goalless draw at Villa Park in the Premier League.

Former City forward Marsh was following the game, and this is what he made of the performances of the two teams.

Over the course the 90 minutes at Villa Park, the Villans had 41% of the possession, took three shots of which none was on target, and earned three corners.

Manuel Pellegrini’s visiting side had 59% of the possession, took 13 shots of which just three were on target, and earned eight corners.

The Citizens were arguably the better team and certainly made most of the attacking moves, but one must acknowledge the defensive performance of Villa.

Villa manager Remi Garde will have been pleased with the point his side picked up against arguably the strongest team in the Premier League.
