Newcastle United goalkeeper Rob Elliot has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Bournemouth away from home on Saturday afternoon.
Ayoze Perez’s goal in the 27th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides.
The star of the show for Newcastle, though, was goalkeeper Elliot, who made saves after saves as Bournemouth pressed on for an equaliser until the final minutes.
The 29-year-old, who was playing on Saturday only because of the long-term injury sustained by first-choice goalkeeper Tim Krul, has taken to Twitter to express his delight at the win and thank the fans for their support.

Elliot has also replied to a tweet sent by Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland, who was impressed with the performance of the Republic of Ireland international.
