Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur played out a 1-1 draw in the North London derby on Sunday evening.
Tottenham took the lead at the Emirates Stadium just past the half-hour mark when England international striker Harry Kane found the target.
The Gunners rescued a point from the Premier League encounter on 77 minutes when substitute Kieran Gibbs converted a deep cross from Germany international attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Emirates in North London, Arsene Wenger’s side had 55% of the headers, took 10 shots of which just four were on target, and earned seven corners.
Meanwhile, visitors Tottenham had 45% of the possession, took 14 shots of which only four were on target, and earned six corners.
As expected, the North London derby was a competitive and fiesta encounter, with Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud and Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen clashing with each other, and Spurs centre-back Toby Alderweireld showing that he is a very brave player (see photos above and below).
