Tottenham Hotspur put in an excellent performance against Arsenal, but were unable to claim the three points.
Kyle Walker says that he is proud of the way that Tottenham Hotspur played against Arsenal in the North London derby.
The Lilywhites picked up a 1-1 draw against their arch rivals, but their performance in the contest was hugely impressive.
Tottenham were on top for much of the match, and Walker felt his teammates and the club’s travelling supporters deserved praise for their efforts.
Proud of how we played today, the lads gave everything after an intense week of games. Got to thank our away fans... https://t.co/esMvGJby4a— Kyle Walker (@kylewalker2) November 8, 2015
Tottenham could have taken all three points from the Emirates Stadium if they were slightly more ruthless in the final third, but there was still plenty to be encouraged by.
Spurs took the lead through Kane just after the half-hour mark, and they dominated the match, right up until the moment that Kieran Gibbs forced home an equaliser.
After that goal, Spurs were on the back-foot, but they held on and were able to extend their unbeaten run to 11 matches.
Walker was not the only Tottenham player to react on social media after the match, with Dele Alli, Erik Lamela and Harry Kane also tweeting their views.
Close to getting the 3 points, unhappy with the end result but we left everything we had. Proud of my team Coys... pic.twitter.com/uhXUQdmsB5— Erik Manuel Lamela (@Coco_Lamela) November 8, 2015
