Arsenal goalscorer Kieran Gibbs saw a positive in the performance of opponent Dele Alli: His nationality.
Gibbs watched the first half and start of the second against Tottenham from the bench, and saw Alli deliver a composed performance to help his side boss the midfield.
The Arsenal star admitted Alli's performance caught his eye, and believes it is good news for the England team.
He told Arsenal.com: "He has been very impressive. He is a promising talent and good for the country."
Gunners hero Gibbs star came on for Joel Campbell and was able to score a vital equaliser to earn his share of the spoils in the 1-1 draw at The Emirates.
He described the mood in the Arsenal dressing room after the game as downbeat, with the players realising they had missed a good chance to record a win, but holds a positive outlook on the rest of the season.
He added: "We are disappointed obviously, with Manchester City dropping points we had a good opportunity. It was important not to lose this game but now the international break, we can recover for a few players and they can come back fit and we can push on after."
The break comes at a perfect time for Arsenal, with Hector Bellerin, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain among those to miss out on Sunday with short-term injuries.
After suffering a heavy defeat to Bayern Munich in midweek, a loss at home to rivals Tottenham would have left the Gunners with much to stew on ahead of the international fixtures, but instead they can simply focus on regrouping ahead of their next game away to West Bromwich Albion in a fortnight's time.
