Gary Lineker reacts to Leicester City's latest win by posting sarcastic message on Twitter

Leicester City

Leicester City beat Watford 2-1 in the Premier League yesterday to extend their brilliant start to the season.

Gary Lineker posted a sarcastic message on Twitter yesterday after Leicester City extended their brilliant start to the season by beating Watford.

Lineker had labelled Claudio Ranieri’s appointment at the King Power Stadium as ‘uninspiring’ soon after it was announced, as per the Daily Mail, but he has had to eat humble pie.

Ranieri has made a wonderful start with the Foxes, and their win over Watford yesterday further established their position in the top-four of the Premier League table.

It caused Lineker to admit that he was wrong about Ranieri’s appointment, although he did admit to his mistake in a sarcastic manner.

Lineker was not the only pundit or supporter to feel that Leicester had made a mistake by appointing Ranieri.

Nigel Pearson had done a brilliant job last term, and his sacking appeared very harsh, but Ranieri seems to have taken Leicester to a new level.

The Foxes are attacking with pace and purpose, and their good form has shown no signs of slowing up – with the team going from strength to strength.
