Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool are all interested in signing Rico Henry from Walsall.

Four Premier League clubs are battling to sign Walsall full-back Rico Henry, report The Mirror.

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City are all interested in signing the teenager, who was crowned Football League Young Player of the Month in October.

The 18-year-old made his Saddlers debut just last December, and scored his first league goal earlier this season.

Henry is a left-back and has been a regular for Walsall this season, who currently top League One on goal difference ahead of Burton Albion.

His club manager Dean Smith told The BBC last month: "If I were to liken him to anyone it would be a young Ashley Cole. And it's up to him how far he can now go in the game.

"I've recommended him a couple of times to the England Under-19s because, if there's a better left-sided player in the country at 18 years of age, I'd like to see them."

Where would he fit in best?

Tottenham are an attractive proposition for Henry because of Mauricio Pochettino's record of developing and giving chances to young players.

If he could show enough potential then he could dislodge one of Ben Davies or Danny Rose in the pecking order and stake a claim for a first team spot.

At Arsenal he would have to dislodge Nacho Monreal or Kieran Gibbs, while at Liverpool he would need to convince Jurgen Klopp he was better than Alberto Moreno and Joe Gomez when he returns from injury.

Moving to Manchester City is a tough ask, with Aleksandar Kolarov and Gael Clichy currently competing for the left-back spot.

Any club who splash out to sign him mid-season would be wise to send him back on loan to Walsall for the remainder of the campaign as Tottenham did with Dele Alli last season, to allow him to continue to play regularly in order for his development to flourish.
