Spurs are currently on a league-best unbeaten run of 10 matches, yet their small squad has had a busy schedule and Savage feels that will play a part this weekend.
“I think the positive thing for Arsenal is they can have an extra day rest,” Savage said.
“Spurs have been to Arsenal on [their past] 22 occasions, only winning once. They are the only unbeaten team since the opening day with Harry Kane amongst the goals and he might nick one here.
“But I reckon Arsenal will get at least two. I’m going to go for Arsenal 2-1 Spurs.”
Are Arsenal favourites?
In spite of their injuries and midweek thrashing in Munich, Arsenal will start the game as favourites as they have history and home advantage on their side.
Arsene Wenger’s starting line-up on Sunday will still feature quality players such as Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla - attacking talent which certainly rivals any other in England.
Tottenham have one of the meanest defences in the Premier League but they are vulnerable when the full-backs push up, a factor which Arsenal will hope to exploit.
The game promises to be a classic and arguably one of the best North London derbies of recent times in terms of quality on the pitch, testament to both clubs and their progression this season.
