Rangers hammered Alloa Athletic 4-0 at Ibrox today.
Rangers returned to winning ways this afternoon, hammering Alloa Athletic 4-0 at Ibrox less than a week after losing to Hibernian.
Mark Warburton saw their unbeaten league record come to an end at Easter Road last Sunday, and Rangers needed to show that they were still title favourites even after that defeat.
They came out all guns blazing today though, as Martyn Waghorn put the Gers in front after just ten minutes, volleying the ball in to the top corner from outside the box.
Right back James Tavernier then added yet another goal to his tally this season, with the former Newcastle youngster smashing a free kick in to the top corner.
Forward Waghorn then got his second of the game with another well-taken volley, with Rangers heading in to half-time 3-0 up and coasting to victory.
Substitute Nicky Clark then came off the bench to add a fourth in the dying seconds of the game, keeping Rangers five points clear at the top of the Scottish Championship following Hibernian's 4-1 win away at St. Mirren.
Alloa only had 30% of possession today, and couldn't even muster one shot on target against a stern Rangers defence, whilst Warburton will certainly be pleased with his side's play going forward.
