Manchester United keeping tabs on Juventus’ Daniele Rugani - report

TuttoMercatoWeb have stated that the Red Devils are keen on the 21-year-old centre-half.

Manchester United have joined the growing list of teams reportedly interested in Juventus starlet Daniele Rugani, with TuttoMercatoWeb stating that the Old Trafford side are keeping a close eye on the central defender.

The 21-year-old came through the ranks at Empoli and starred for two seasons in the Italian club’s first team, sparking interest from the current Serie A champions.

Juve opted to buy Rugani earlier this year but the highly rated centre-half has struggled for game time in Turin due to the presence of experienced campaigners Giorgio Chiellini, Leonardo Bonucci and Andrea Barzagli.

TuttoMercatoWeb state that a list of Italian and European clubs is forming to potentially take Rugani on loan or try to steal him away from Max Allegri’s men.

Rugani has starred for Italy at age-grade level over the yeas and is currently a member of the under-21 set-up.

United have had some issues in the heart of their defence is recent times, with a regular partner for Chris Smalling not completely apparent currently.

Louis van Gaal has admitted recently that the Red Devils’ project is ongoing and the club could well be active in the transfer window in January.
