David Ginola and Tim Krul react on Twitter to Newcastle win

Former Newcastle United youngster Olivier Kemen also took to social media, alongside current winger Rolando Aarons.

Newcastle United registered only their second Premier League win under Steve McClaren on Saturday afternoon.

But plenty of fans and pundits alike felt a great sense of injustice. Indeed, Bournemouth dominated possession against McClaren's men and many felt the visitors were woeful.

And yet they left Bournemouth with a 1-0 win.

They had goalkeeper Rob Elliot to thank and, of course, goalscorer Ayoze Perez.

After the game, former Newcastle winger David Ginola took to Twitter to congratulate the Magpies. And a current winger in Rolando Aarons also took to social media, although the youngster is currently out injured.

Meanwhile, former Newcastle youngser Olivier Kemen showed his support for his former club.

Kemen was allowed to leave St James' Park for Ligue 1 this summer and he tweeted his support before the Bournemouth game, as well as celebrating Perez's winner.

Newcastle's win lifts them out of the relegation zone and supporters will feel strange not to frequent the bottom three after spending so long there.

Can McClaren's men push on from here or did they get lucky with an awful performance?

Finally, Tim Krul also took to Twitter:
