Confirmed QPR v Preston line-ups: Warnock hands start to Hoilett

Here is how QPR and Preston will line up today...

Queens Park Rangers begin the post-Chris Ramsey era with a home game against Preston North End, as Neil Warnock returns to the Loftus Road dugout.

The R's lost 1-0 away at Derby County in midweek, and that proved to be Ramsey's final game in charge as QPR chose to sack him and place Warnock in temporary charge.

Today, Rangers take on Preston, and Warnock has named a very strong side for the visit of the Lilywhites.

The likes of Rob Green, Nedum Onuoha, Leroy Fer, Matt Phillips and Charlie Austin all start, as does winger Junior Hoilett having come on as a substitute against Derby in midweek.

Karl Henry seemingly starts at right back with James Perch receiving a red card against Derby, whilst the likes of Massimo Luongo, Tjaronn Chery, Daniel Tozser and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas are all available from the bench.

Meanwhile, Preston have been going steadily recently with two wins and three draws in their last five games under Simon Grayson.

The Lilywhites will be looking to keep that unbeaten run going this afternoon but face a tricky trip to Loftus Road, especially with Greg Cunningham ruled out through injury.

The Republic of Ireland international misses out, meaning Paul Huntington comes back in to defence, with Grayson again going for three centre backs and two wing backs in a 3-5-2 system.

Eoin Doyle keeps his place after scoring his first Preston goal against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, and he will partner Joe Garner in attack, who is still looking for his first Championship goal this season.
