Rangers are looking to sign more players in January.
Rangers have the best squad in the Scottish Championship this season, but Mark Warburton has discussed with the official YouTube channel whether he has been given transfer assurances ahead of the January window.
Asked whether he has been given transfer assurances ahead of the January window, Warburton said: “I’m more than happy [with the board]. If I had a problem I would say to the board that I’m not happy. The support has been fantastic, and we talk daily about where we are with the squad.”
Rangers brought in a number of players over the summer transfer window, following Warburton’s appointment as manager, as he looked to build a squad in his own view.
They are currently flying high in the Scottish Championship, having lost just one game in the league this season, but Warburton has admitted that he wants to bring in more players in January to ensure Rangers have the best chance of getting to the top flight.
There were previously no indications that the Rangers board shared these views with Warburton, but the manager has now claimed that talks have been promising with the management ahead of the January window.
He has stated that he is more than happy with the support he has been given by the board, and as he wants to bring players in, there are no indications that the board think otherwise.
It is still not known who Warburton wants to sign, but it is evident that the board will back him with any planned transfers.
