The Newcastle United players were training today ahead of Saturday afternoon’s Premier League game against Bournemouth away from home.
Newcastle will head into the match at the Vitality Stadium looking to return to winning ways, having played out a goalless draw with Stoke City at St. James’ Park in the league last weekend.
Under the watchful eyes of head coach Steve McClaren, the players were training hard today.
Among the players attending today’s session was Florian Thauvin, who joined Newcastle from French giants Marseille in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old attacker has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League so far and does not appear to be guaranteed a place in the starting lineup.
The Frenchman, who has created just three chances in six league matches, was all smiles during today’s training session, though (see photo below).
Young goalkeeper Brendan Pearson was training with the Newcastle first team today (see photo above).
Pearson is only 18 years of age and has yet to make an appearance for the Newcastle first team.
The teenager has played just four times for the Magpies’ Under-21 side this campaign, and is currently in the second year of a scholarship and not classed as a professional.
