Former Manchester United and Liverpool striker Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that this weekend’s North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will end in a draw.
Arsenal will host Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday, and Owen believes that the spoils will be shared.
“The Gunners have to put behind their heavy Champions’ League defeat in Munich in what promises to be an absorbing north London derby,” the former England international wrote on Betvictor.com.
“Spurs are unbeaten since the opening day of the season when they were, arguably, unlucky to come away from Old Trafford with a point. I expect them to get a draw on Sunday.”
"I think this could be a draw," former Tottenham midfielder Jamie Redknapp told Sky Sports.
Could Michael Owen’s prediction come true?
Arsenal and Tottenham will both be confident of winning on Sunday, and Owen’s prediction that they will play out a draw could come true.
The Gunners will head into the game on the back of a humiliating 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in Germany in the Champions League, and they will be determined to bounce back in style.
Tottenham have been playing well and won in the Europa League on Thursday, which means that they will be looking forward to this weekend’s clash.
It promises to be a very competitive game of football, and hopefully it will be an entertaining one as well.
