Roberto Firmino's stock seems to be rising as a Liverpool player, with his latest display against Rubin Kazan seemingly enhancing his reputation among the club's fans.
Though Jordon Ibe has received the headlines for his first competitive goal for the Reds, Firmino certainly gave us another taster as to why Liverpool paid so much in the summer to secure his services from Hoffenheim.
Firmino set up the game's first real opportunity, which saw James Milner hit the crossbar, before creating one or two other openings, but the attempts he had on goal weren't the best. That is something that will need to be worked on during the coming games as he looks for his first Liverpool goal.
But it was his tee-up from a Joe Allen pass that allowed Ibe to burst forward and calmly slot home his first Liverpool goal, which helped the Reds to strengthen their grip on second spot in Group B - meaning that a win in their next game against Bordeaux will secure their passage to the knockout stages of the competition.
After three consecutive starts, it seems as though Firmino could be pretty close to cementing his place in the starting XI. Fans on Twitter certainly seem to be impressed, though they would like him to improve one aspect of his end product.

Firmino is class. He's touch and passing are brilliant. Just need to work on his fitness and goal would do wonders for his self-confidence.— Pete (@petrilfc) November 6, 2015
Firmino class once again last night. Once he gets his finishing boots on he will be some player.— Tim Ward (@Tim_LFC8) November 6, 2015
One noticeable thing about last night is Firmino succeeding in the creative aspects of playing behind the striker where Phil didn't thrive— Jan Michael Vincent (@shitebag_) November 6, 2015
