Eric Dier has earned his first call-up to the England squad.
Tottenham defender Kyle Walker has taken to Twitter in order to congratulate team-mate Eric Dier after his first England call-up.
With an international break coming up after this weekend, England boss Roy Hodgson has named his squad ahead of games against Spain and France.
Hodgson has named four Tottenham players in his squad, which is little surprise considering how Mauricio Pochettino is developing young English players at White Hart Lane.
Kyle Walker, Dele Alli and Harry Kane are all in the squad, whilst midfielder Eric Dier has earned his first call-up to the squad after a superb start to the season.
Dier, who played at right back and centre back last season, has been pushed in to midfield this term, and has been sensational so far, protecting the Spurs back four and breaking up play.
That's something England need considering the lack of true defensive midfielders at Hodgson's disposal, and Dier now has a chance to impress ahead of next summer's European Championships.
After Hodgson's squad was revealed, Tottenham ace Walker took to Twitter to not only celebrate his own call-up, but also congratulate Dier on his first inclusion in the England squad.
Dier's versatility has made him a key player at White Hart Lane, and if he continues to play as he has so far this season, there is no reason why he can't nail down a regular place in the England squad alongside his central midfield partner at Spurs, Dele Alli.
