Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner hopes that Nottingham Forest win against Derby County in the Championship tonight.

Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner has taken to social networking site Twitter to wish Nottingham Forest the best of luck ahead of tonight’s clash against Derby County in the Championship.

Forest will take on Derby in the East Midlands derby at the City Ground.

Gardner, who played for the Reds on loan from Premier League side Villa during the second half of last season, hopes that Dougie Freedman’s side pick up all three points tonight.

Attacker Jamie Paterson, currently on a season-long loan at Huddersfield Town from Forest, has also taken to Twitter to wish his parent club the best of luck.

Forest will head into tonight’s match against Derby on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Preston North End away from home in the Championship.

The Reds are 19th in the league table at the moment with 14 points from 15 matches, just four points above the relegation zone.
