Teenager Jordon Ibe lacked confidence at the start of the season but, predictably, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp's energy has been transferred to the 19-year-old, who was one of his side's biggest outlets against Rubin Kazan on Thursday night.
The Merseyside outfit won 1-0 thanks to Ibe's winner and the youngster is looking less and less afraid to run at people and have a shot at goal. He did exactly the same thing when he first burst onto the first-team scene at Anfield last season and Ibe is returning that type of form this term.
Heavily slated by many during his first couple of Liverpool appearances but it appears Roberto Firmino is another player ideally suited to Klopp.
The Brazilian is still yet to make a major impact for the Reds but, match by match, he is progressing and his ability on the ball is clear to see. Firmino certainly made an impact at Rubin.
The Liverpool midfielder's desire and drive aren't under question but, despite being his side's stand-in captain, James Milner isn't quite on song at the moment.
The 29-year-old received plenty of criticism from fans on Twitter and looks like Jordan Henderson during his first season at Anfield.
Indeed, Milner has bags of energy but, the more he tries, the less effective he is. The Reds midfielder runs and runs but to no avail and, against Rubin, Milner offered little before being substituted in the second half.
