Steve Evans confirms Leeds United will have signed new players in time to face Rotherham United

Leeds United take on Rotherham United on 21st November.

Steve Evans has guaranteed to LUTV that Leeds United will have new signings through the door by the time that they face Rotherham United.

Leeds take on the Millers on 21st November, after the international break, with the club looking to utilise the time off from competitive action to their advantage.

Leeds are known to want to strengthen their ranks, and Evans is convinced that he will have fresh faces on board before the end of the month.

“We are still working really hard to add to the group,” he said. “Whether that can happen in time for Saturday [I don’t know], but it will certainly happen in time for when we next play.”

Leeds were linked with Liam Bridcutt for much of the week, with the Sunderland midfielder said to be joining on loan.

However, that deal seems to have hit a stumbling block, according to the Sunderland Echo, at the 11th hour and there has been a delay in finalising it.

Evans has spoken to LUTV of his desire to bring in three new players, and a goalkeeper is thought to figure prominently on his list of targets.

Leeds take on Huddersfield Town this weekend, and they go into the match sitting down in 17th place in the Championship table - just one point better off than their West Yorkshire rivals and six clear of the drop zone.
