The Ivorian might struggle to get back in the starting XI this week.
Leeds United won their first game at Elland Road this season earlier in the week and did so without club captain Sol Bamba.
The Ivorian was suspended after picking up a fifth yellow card of the season against Blackburn Rovers recently.
In his place stepped Giuseppe Bellusci. The Italian has been a much maligned figure at Leeds for some time now and with some fairly poor performances it is clear to see why.
But he was great against Cardiff, as was stand-in captain Liam Cooper.
So will Steve Evans recall Bamba for the Huddersfield game this weekend. Evans has been speaking about the issue at his press conference today.
The Yorkshire Evening Post report him saying:
"You get picked on performance. I'll sit down with coaching staff and consider if we recall Bamba, Adeyemi & Erwin's back in too."
"I think if Sol Bamba is out of the team he will be disappointed in a real professional manner."
He added on the subject of Bellusci, stating:
"I think everyone has an opinion with Bellusci. What I know is he has trained very well and been professional."
The likelihood is that Bamba will be called back into the starting XI. Despite the performances of the other pair he remains the club's captain and leader. In what is the closest thing to a derby Leeds get this season that set of skills could prove crucial.
But it is good to know that Bellusci can step in when needed.
