The club captain missed the Cardiff win through suspension.
Leeds United picked up their first win at Elland Road this season on Tuesday night with a 1-0 win against Cardiff City that was also Steve Evans' first win as Leeds United boss.
The game was won thanks to a superb long-range strike from Alex Mowatt, but it was a fantastic team performance - in particular at the back.
The two centre-backs both put in perhaps one of their best performances in a Leeds shirt. Interestingly neither of these men was Leeds United captain Sol Bamba.
The Ivorian picked up a fifth booking of the season against Blackburn Rovers recently leaving him out of contention for the game. Liam Cooper therefore stepped up as captain with the much-maligned Giuseppe Bellusci slotting in alongside him at centre-back.
Both players were fantastic and it must be giving Evans a pleasant selection headache ahead of the weekend clash with Huddersfield Town.
Bamba may be a good captain but he has certainly not been immune to some fairly woeful mistakes this season himself.
Bellusci and Cooper seemed to work well together the other night and Evans may be considering not changing a winning formula.
