Report: Nottingham Forest to welcome back Michael Mancienne and Robert Tesche from injury after international break

The utility man and the German midfielder have been lengthy absentees.

Nottingham Forest are in need of some good news at the moment.

Now they face a daunting task in the East Midlands derby on Friday night. Forest welcome Derby County to the City Ground in the Friday evening fixture with the teams in contrasting form. Forest have not won in their last eight games whilst Derby beat QPR last night to go to three wins on the bounce and they are unbeaten in 12.

But at least they now know that they have two key players on the comeback trail.

Utility man Michael Mancienne and midfielder Robert Tesche are set to return to full fitness after the international break, according to a report from Eurosport.

The report claims that both players were in contention for the game with Derby on Friday but just came up short. Therefore they will be hoping to be fit for the game against Brentford on November 21st.

Mancienne has been struggling with a knee injury for the past month whilst Tesche, whose Forest career looked to be over before Freedman came back, has been out of action since the opening game of the season against Brighton with a broken foot.

The thought of having Mancienne back in defence and Tesche giving the club another option in midfield will no doubt please Forest fans.
