Reece Oxford reacts on Twitter to England Under-19s call-up

The West Ham youngster has received a place in one of the Three Lions' youth squads.

Reece Oxford has taken to Twitter after receiving his first call-up for the England Under-19s.

Indeed, the 16-year-old has been rewarded for a promising season so far with a place in the young England squad.

And the West Ham United youngster is pleased to be involved with his country.

Grammar isn't a strong point, of course... but the call-up is great news for Oxford's fledgling career.

Indeed, after a momentous start to his Premier League season, when the 16-year-old was judged by West Ham fans to have 'kept Mesut Ozil in his back pocket,' things have gone quiet for the Hammers teenager.

But that's arguably just what he needs. He has kept plugging away and an Under-19 call-up will serve Oxford very well for the future.

Had the West Ham youngster continued playing in the Premier League week in, week out and, say, received a call-up from Roy Hodgson for the England senior squad, it might have all proved a little too much too soon for the teenager.

Now, though, things are going at a good pace for the Upton Park starlet.
