The teenager will be hoping to gain some first-team football this campaign.

Arsenal's under-19s certainly fared better in their fixture with Bayern Munich in the UEFA Youth League than their seniors did.

Arsenal's first-team defeated Bayern Munich at The Emirates and needed a result in this game to keep their hopes of Champions League qualification looking realistic. But they were thumped 5-1 at the Allianz Arena.

Meanwhile the under-19s drew 1-1 with Bayern's own young talents in Germany thanks to a goal from French talent Ismael Bennacer.

But the main story from the game was the return of a certain Dan Crowley.

Last week saw Dan Crowley's loan spell at Barnsley cut short with some reports suggesting that Barnsley were not impressed by the player and sent him back.

Arsenal soon confirmed that they in fact brought him back to the club from Yorkshire to help cover the club's current injury troubles.

The talented 18-year-old, who has been compared to Jack Wilshere in the past, is highly thought of at The Emirates Stadium and it could be he is in with a chance of first-team football for The Gunners in the coming weeks.

So this was a great chance for him to catch the eye on his return to the club.
