The 24-year-old attacker scored the winner in the Championship game at the iPro Stadium, as Derby won 1-0.
“It was great for Andreas to score again,” Clement told Derby’s official website. “He is someone that hadn’t played so much in the first part of our run of games, but he came on against Huddersfield and did well, he performed strongly on Saturday against Rotherham and he did it again in this game.”
Weimann joined Championship side Derby from Premier League outfit Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.
The Austria international made a slow start to his Rams career, but he seems to have raised his game lately.
Against QPR, Weimann played for the entire 90 minutes and gave a good account of himself.
The 24-year-old is a good player, and he will be important for Derby as the season progresses.
Clement’s side are aiming for a top-two finish in the Championship this campaign, and they are on course to meeting that objective.
Derby are fifth in the Championship table at the moment with 30 points from 15 matches, just a point behind leaders Hull City.
