Dier, who joined Tottenham from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2014, has been included in the Three Lions’ squad for upcoming friendly matches against Spain and France.
The 21-year-old is a very versatile footballer who can play as a right-back, as a centre-back or as a central midfielder.
Former Liverpool and Leeds defender Beglin has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Dier’s call-up and has praised his aggression in midfield.

Dier has been one of the best players for Tottenham so far this season and one of the better youngsters in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old has scored two goals and created three chances in 10 Premier League appearances for Spurs so far this campaign.
The youngster has a pass accuracy of 86% and a shot accuracy of 60%, and has won 26 headers, two dribbles and 24 tackles.
