The striker is on fire for the Foxes this season and his teammate is one of many who have been impressed.
Vardy has been in the form of his career at the beginning of this season and is currently the top goalscorer in the Premier League with 11 goals to his name, four more than his nearest rivals.
During that run he has managed to bag in eight consecutive games, only the third player to do so in Premier League history.
And Schmeichel has added his name to the list of people praising the forward, saying it is a dream to play with him.
“For me, he is the best striker in the Premier League right now," he told the Mirror.
“He drags us through and sets the tone every single game. When you have a player like that, he is a dream to play with. You hit balls and clearances and he makes something of them because he chases everything down and never gives up.”
Given the quality of the strikers in the Premier League, it is something of a stretch to suggest that Vardy is the best striker in the Premier League.
However, looking at it on the basis of current form, there are certainly very few competitors for the Foxes man at present, although Watford’s Odion Ighalo is certainly trying his hardest to catch him.
Leicester, and Vardy, will be hoping that he can keep his current form up for the rest of the season as they seek to avoid another relegation battle like the last campaign.
