Nottingham Forest will take on Derby County at the City Ground in the Championship on Friday evening.

Derby County midfielder George Thorne has suggested to the Shoot magazine that his side can win against Nottingham Forest on Friday evening.

The Rams will take on Forest away from home at the City Ground in the Championship.

“Obviously it is exciting, it is a fantastic occasion!” the 22-year-old told the Shoot magazine. “We feel like we are in a good place at the moment.

“But to be totally honest, it hasn’t really crossed my mind too much. We take it a game at a time but, as I have said, we are on a good run.”

Derby will head into the encounter on Friday on the back of a 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at the iPro Stadium.

Paul Clement’s side are in great form at the moment and are in contention of a top-two finish in the Championship this season.

The Rams are currently fifth in the standings with 30 points from 15 matches, just a point behind leaders Hull City.

Meanwhile, Forest find themselves as low as 19th in the Championship table with just 14 points from 15 matches, only four points above the relegation zone.

Dougie Freedman’s side will head into Friday’s match on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Preston North End away from home in the league.
