Uwe Rosler is the favourite to become the new manager at Huddersfield.
As suggested by the odds from Sky Bet, Uwe Rosler is the favourite to become the new Huddersfield Town manager following the departure of Chris Powell.
The Terriers have won just one of the last seven games, and whilst they were unlucky in their 2-2 draw against Reading on Tuesday night, Powell has lost his job.
Now, Huddersfield are on the lookout for a new manager, and Sky Bet have been pricing up odds for who could replace Powell in the dugout.
The candidates for the role with the bookmakers are managers such as Malky Mackay, who left Wigan Athletic at the end of last season, and Burton Albion boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Alex McLeish, Alan Irvine, Micky Mellon, Stuart Gray, Tim Sherwood, Nigel Clough and Paulo Di Canio are just some of the other names mentioned, but the hot favourite right now is Uwe Rosler.
The German was sacked by Leeds United last month, having struggled to get wins on the board at Elland Road, but losing his job after just five months seemed like another rash decision from owner Massimo Cellino.
Ironically, Huddersfield host Leeds this weekend, and if the Terriers make a swift appointment in the coming days, Rosler could end up facing his former club - and after the acrimonious circumstances of his exit, he would no doubt love for that situation to play out, enabling him to get his revenge on Leeds.
It would be a surprise for Huddersfield to get a manager in by Saturday afternoon, but given the shock nature of Powell's exit, nothing is out of the question right now.
