Report: Tottenham Hotspur to scout Laurent Depoitre and Moses Simon again tonight

The Gent duo are firmly on Spurs' radar after several scouting trips.

Tottenham Hotspur have sent scouts to monitor Gent duo Laurent Depoitre and Moses Simon in their Champions League clash with Valencia tonight, according to the Daily Mail.

Spurs have been keeping a close eye on the Belgian target man and his pacey team-mate and have sent scouts to several of their games already this season.

The reports are likely to have been positive, with Depoitre managing six goals in 14 games for the Belgian league leaders this campaign.

He was recently called up to his national team and promptly scored on his debut during Belgium’s Euro 2016 qualification win over Andorra.

Depoitre would provide a much-needed like-for-like alternative to Harry Kane and would cost considerably less than the likes of Saido Berahino - who has previously been linked with a move to White Hart Lane.

Whether the 26-year old is the calibre of striker required for a top four-chasing Premier League club remains to be seen, but in him and Simon, Spurs could be making two very shrewd additions to their squad.
