Report: Manchester City eye move for Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak

The highly-rated Polish midfielder has also been linked with a move to Arsenal in the past.

Manchester City are reportedly keeping an eye on Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, according to Marca.

The Polish midfielder has become a key player for the La Liga side, and was a big part of the side that performed so well in the league last season and won the Europa League.

His performances have caught the eye of a number of Europe’s top team, with Premier League title hopefuls Arsenal also reportedly interested in securing his signature.

They balked at the club’s asking price of £21million though, and decided against a move for the defensive midfielder.

Manchester City are not so easily put off, though, given their vast wealth, and would be willing to pay the release clause to secure the highly-rated midfielder, according to Marca.

They may want to move quickly to try and bring him to the Etihad as well, with Sevilla keen to get him signed to a new contract and are in negotiations to improve his current deal.

With money no object at City, though, they are sure to be able to tempt him to England with a big contract should they decide to make a firm offer for the player.
