Liverpool and Manchester United could be set to battle it out for the starlet Emre Mor, reports the Daily Mail.

The Danish youngster is fast emerging as one of Europe’s hottest young talents, with his performances for FC Nordsjaelland’s Under 19 side having caught the eye of a number of sides.

Naturally among those are English teams, with Liverpool and Manchester United thought to be chief among his admirers in the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail’s report.

Indeed, it seems Louis van Gaal’s side have taken the first steps to try and secure the youngster ahead of their fierce rivals, having kept tabs on him for some time.

Liverpool have made a similar move, with the Reds thought to be exploring their options to try and get him to move to Anfield ahead of Old Trafford.

With Europe watching the Danish starlet, though, they would likely face competition from a number of sides should they firm up their interest.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s former side Borussia Dortmund are thought to be particularly keen, while Ajax are also said to be monitoring the situation.
