Report: Leicester City consider ambitious January move for Arkadiusz Milik

Ajax

Ajax star Arkadiusz Milik is a reported target for Leicester City.

According to the Daily Mirror, Leicester City are lining up an ambitious January move to sign Ajax striker Arkadiusz Milik in a £10m deal.

The Foxes have enjoyed a remarkable start to the Premier League season, with six wins and just one defeat meaning Claudio Ranieri's side sit third in the table at this early stage of the campaign.

The stars of the show have been winger Riyad Mahrez and striker Jamie Vardy, who has scored in eight consecutive Premier League games in a stunning run of goalscoring form.

However, it now seems that Ranieri is considering a move for another striker, with The Mirror suggesting that Ajax hitman Arkadiusz Milik is a target.

The 21-year-old centre forward, who left Gornik Zabrze in 2012 for Bayer Leverkusen, has since joined Ajax permanently having hit 23 goals on loan last term.

With seven goals in 17 games since signing on a permanent basis for the Amsterdam giants, Milik has certainly continued to impress in the Eredivisie, whilst he also has nine goals in 19 games for Poland, striking up a prolific partnership with Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski.

Leicester do already have the likes of Leonardo Ulloa, Shinji Okazaki and Andrej Kramaric, but if they have hopes of challenging for European qualification, then an ambitious move for Milik could help them achieve the unthinkable this season.
