Ray Parlour said on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Wednesday morning that Arsenal should be considered favourites to win the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
The Gunners will take on Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.
Former Arsenal midfielder Parlour believes that Arsene Wenger’s side should be considered favourites for the clash as they are at home.
The former England international, though, does speak highly of Spurs’ current form.
"It is a hard one to call," said Parlour on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Wednesday morning.
"It is one of those games which can go either way. At the Emirates, you would probably give Arsenal slight favouritism being at home, but Spurs are playing really well."
Arsenal are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 25 points from 11 matches, level on points with leaders Manchester City.
Tottenham are currently fifth in the standings with 20 points from 11 games, just a point behind fourth-place Manchester United.
Sunday’s North London derby will a very competitive game of football, and there should be a few goals.
As Parlour says, playing at home will give Arsenal an advantage, but if Spurs scored first at the Emirates, then they could go on to pick up all three points.
