Liverpool are preparing for a tough away match in Europe this week.
Liverpool’s players have been photographed on their way to Russia to take on Rubin Kazan in the Europa League later this week, with 19-year-old midfielder Cameron Brannagan among those in the images posted on the club's official Twitter account.
The captain of Liverpool’s under-21s recently signed a new contract at Anfield that ties him to the club until the summer of 2018, and he will no doubt be hoping that by then he is a regular first-team player, such is his ability.
The Europa League is the perfect chance for Brannagan and Liverpool’s other young players to show new manager Jurgen Klopp what they can do, and after featuring against Bordeuax it would be no surprise to see the youngster come off the bench again on Thursday.
That said Klopp is likely to play a strong side from the outset as he attempts to guide Liverpool into the knockout stages of the competition, and when you consider the Reds are already four points behind Group B leaders FC Sion only a win will do.
Whatever happens on Thursday, the future is very bright at Anfield with a whole host of talented teenagers coming through the ranks and set for future stardom, some of whom could well be involved this week.
