Arsenal's under-19s took on their Bayern counterparts yesterday with Thierry Henry helping out.
Arsenal faced Bayern Munich earlier this evening but things did not go well for the team. They were absolutely thrashed in the Allianz Arena, losing 5-1 to the Bundesliga champions. With Olympiakos' 2-1 win over Dinamo Zagreb not helping matters.
But the Arsenal under-19s fared better in their meeting with Bayern in Germany today.
They took on Bayern's youngsters in Bavaria today and drew 1-1 with a goal from Ismael Bennacer, who recently made his first-team debut for Arsenal, to remain unbeaten in the UEFA Youth League.
One man whose presence did cause a stir as always when it comes to Arsenal was Thierry Henry.
The Frenchman is of course an Arsenal legend and the club's record goalscorer.
Nowadays however his affiliation with the club continues. Henry has been dropping into sessions with the under-19s in recent times with Andries Jonker happy to give the budding coach a chance to shine in a training environment.
He was snapped keeping his eye on the action last night.
His presence must be a massive inspiration to the young Arsenal players who hope to come through the ranks and one day emulate the Arsenal legend.
