The England youth international has been in great form at Coventry City.
But while the players currently at St James Park have struggled, one player out on loan has been in sensational form.
The player in question is Adam Armstrong.
His most recent goals came against Barnsley last night in a 4-3 triumph in which he scored a brace. Another goalscorer in that game was former England international Joe Cole, who bent a magnificent free-kick into the top corner at Oakwell. He has been speaking about Armstrong and has compared him to Manchester City goal-machine Sergio Aguero.
He told the official Coventry City website, as reported by TheFA.com:
"Armstrong reminds me of [Sergio] Aguero in a way, he's of the build and he's hungry for goals.
“In a lovely way he's selfish for goals and has the ingredients to be a top player and go on to score many more goals.”
The forward was loaned out to Coventry City at the start of the season - with the intention he would stay with the club until January.
Newcastle fans might be wishing he was called back. Armstrong has been in sensational form for the League One club - scoring a fantastic 12 goals in 14 games.
Fans on Tyneside and across England will be hoping that Armstrong can live up to this tag from Cole and go on to emulate the Argentine superstar.
