Leeds United East Stand

Leeds United beat Cardiff City 1-0 at Elland Road in Championship action last night.

Ross Killock has claimed on Twitter that Alex Mowatt’s goal for Leeds United against Cardiff City was the finest goal that he has ever seen live.

Mowatt scored the only goal of the game in the Whites’ 1-0 victory over Cardiff, and it was a belter which will live long in the memory.

The youngster took range from fully 30 yards, before curling a shot into the top-corner of the net, to send Elland Road wild.

And Killock was quick to show his delight for his teammate on social media.

Killock was not the only Leeds player to react to their victory on Twitter last night, with a number of members of the first-team also tweeting their satisfaction at the performance.

It has been a long time since Leeds last won at home, and their players were clearly delighted to have finally got three points in front of their own fans.

Liam Cooper, Souleymane Doukara and Lewis Cook all posted short messages after the match, after their side picked up a win which lifted them into 17th place in the Championship table.
