Barry Bannan sends message on Twitter after Sheffield Wednesday draw; Forestieri also reacts

Sheffield Wednesday secured a 0-0 draw with Brighton on Tuesday evening.

Sheffield Wednesday continued their strong campaign with a 0-0 draw against undefeated Brighton, ensuring they stay within touching distance of the promotion places.

The Owls now sit just one place off the final play-off place, and seven points off the automatic promotion places, and they look to only be improving.

The game was a tight one, with neither team failing to manage more than nine shots, whilst there were only three on target attempts in the entire 90 minutes

Brighton controlled the possession, but Wednesday looked the more threatening side in the final third, and the performance by the Owls suggested that they have enough quality about them to be a convincing side in the push for promotion.

Following the game, midfield star Barry Bannan took to Twitter to react to the result, admitting disappointment at not winning the game, but praising the Wednesday support who came to watch their team fight a tough game.

Summer signing Fernando Forestieri also reacted when the game ended, praising his teammates for their fighting spirit.
