Barry Bannan sends message on Twitter after recognition, Wednesday fans respond

Barry Bannan joined Sheffield Wednesday from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.

Sheffield Wednesday central midfielder Barry Bannan has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at being recognised by the club’s fans.

The former Aston Villa and Crystal Palace man has been voted as Wednesday’s Player of the Month for October.

The Scotland international, who was truly superb last month, collected 31% of the votes.

Bannan, who was a key figure in the Owls going unbeaten last month, has taken to Twitter to thank the Wednesday fans for their support.


Bannan joined Championship side Wednesday from Premier League outfit Palace in the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old has created 20 chances in 10 Championship appearances so far this season.

The Owls are eighth in the league table at the moment with 24 points from 15 matches, just a point behind sixth-place Birmingham City.
