Robbie Savage gives his verdict on West Ham’s top-four chances

Can West Ham United finish in the top four of the Premier League this season?

Former Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage said on the Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on BT Sport 1 on Saturday morning (October 31, 2015) that West Ham United will not finish in the top four of the Premier League this season.

“Maybe they could, but I don’t think they will,” said the former Wales international. “They have done great, let’s be fair, brilliant, but I just can’t see them finish in the top four.”

Savage made the comments before West Ham’s Premier League game against Watford away from home on Saturday afternoon.

The Hammers lost the match 2-0 at Vicarage Road and are now sixth in the league table with 20 points from 11 matches.

Slaven Bilic’s side are just a point behind fourth-place Manchester United, and there is a chance that they could end up in the Champions League places this campaign.

It will not be easy, though, with Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Chelsea all aiming for that prized fourth spot.

Even Southampton and Everton will fancy their chances of sneaking into the top four this season.

For West Ham to finish fourth, they need to maintain their current form for the rest of the season.
